Good Afternoon Fantastic Families of the Perry K - 6,
Hope everybody is doing well and enjoying the final weeks of summer! We are super excited to get started next week and welcome you and your children back to the Perry. Our teachers and staff have been working hard to get their rooms prepared and the first few days of lessons planned. We are confident that the 2022 - 23 school year is going to be a great year at the Perry!!
Fall Return Updates:
Tuesday, September 6th: Kindergarten Welcome Event @ Perry, 4:30 - 5:30 PM
Thursday, September 8th: First day of school for grades 1 - 6
Monday, September 12th: First day of school for K0, K1, K2

Arrival begins at 9:15 AM each morning, and Dismissal begins at 4:00 PM.
Welcome Back Meeting
We will hold a quick Welcome Back Meeting for families (from all grades) on Tuesday morning, September 6th at 8:30 AM via zoom (zoom link to follow). We will cover back-to-school topics and take any questions as we all get ready to launch an amazing year of learning at the Perry! We hope you can join us! If not, no worries – we will be sure to continue to get all information out by email as well.
A Cooler Start To 2022- 23
We are excited to announce that we were able to get 35 air conditioners installed over the past week. Hopefully, that should be a huge help as we work through the end-of-summer heat during the first few weeks of school!
Before/After School 22-23
If interested in signing your child up for before/ afterschool programming, please take a minute to fill out this interest form: Perry Before/ Afterschool Interest Form, and please see the application attached (pricing may change based on demand). First Day of School Info
If dropping off/ walking on Opening Day, please meet us in the Perry Schoolyard (in back of the school) to find your teacher and get the day started. We will follow the same process for Kindergarten Opening Day on September 12th as well.
Team Updates
Ms. Carly Sexton will be joining the team as the paraprofessional for our K0 - K1 classroom. For the past three years, Ms. Sexton has served as a special education teaching assistant at Dolbeare Elementary School in Wakefield Public Schools.
Transportation Information for 2022 - 23
Bus assignments were sent out by BPS last week. For any transportation challenges or questions, please contact BPS Transportation at 617 635 - 9520. You can also go to the BPS Transportation Online Support Portal for assistance. If you are unable to get appropriate assistance, please do let us know – we are happy to help the best we can!
Additionally, we highly recommend using the Where's My School Bus? website for tracking your child’s school bus in real time. (please note that Where’s My School Bus will not work if the rare occasion that there is a bus covering your child’s route on a particular day)

Enrollment Updates
We do have some seats available. If you know of anybody interested in joining the Perry Community this Fall, please let them know that Registration at BPS Welcome Centers is currently ongoing.
